Irmke received her first singing training at the state music school at Rhineland Palatinate with Martina Hennemann. Further studies lead the singer to Music College of Wuppertal with Prof. Barbara Schlick and Cologne´s Music College with Prof. Joseph Protschka.
Belcanto in connection to art song and opera music where main themes of Irmke`s work and still remain the center of  the attention. "Without music, all meant nothing"
